Recycling Information on Office Furniture

May 14th, 2008 Posted in Business

I was chatting to a friend who works for the environmental protection agency yesterday. He told me that all councils within the UK offer a recycling centre for office furniture.

This information is often found on the council web sites. It’s good practice for the council with regards to their environment and recycling targets and also good everyone else.

The Environment needs us to aid in to protect itself from landfill sites of old and unwanted home office furniture, that’s why recycling of your old leather office chairs can help us begin to achieve this.

Another simple way of recyling, is to help small start-up companies and charity shops who offer the office furniture at a fraction of the cost new. Many of the charities offer information on their web sites of local shops, which will uplift, and helps with the global environmental footprint.

I’ve got a couple of older office screens that I was going to throw out - I’ll be sure to recycle them now instead.
